The one of 2022 will be the first edition of the GEI without Sergio Trasatti, one of the most important and influential electrochemists of our times.

The Division of Electrochemistry  of the Italian Chemical Society and the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE)  intend to remember him through a joint session dedicated in memoriam  on occasion of the 73^rd Annual Meeting of ISE  and GEI2022.

This exceptional event will be held online and will be shared part of the programs of the 73^rd Annual Meeting of ISE and GEI2022. The organizers of the joint session are three colleagues who knew Sergio Trasatti very well: Achille De Battisti, Robert Hillman and Marco Musiani. All three of them collaborated intensively and extensively with Sergio Trasatti  and were able to fully appreciate his human and professional qualities during the course of Sergio  scientific, editorial and organizational activity within ISE, the Division and Electrochimica Acta journal.

The session counts the participation of several scientists representing different generations of electrochemists the scientific path of which has been tracked by the teachings of Sergio Trasatti.
